BioWare just released its second character spotlight, introducing us to the cast of humans and aliens we’ll be meeting in Mass Effect. While the game is certainly promising to be epic in scale, that animation is really letting it down. Just take a look at the last clip in this video. Does that man move […]

Over at Games With Jobs, a (fairly) recent post discusses the apparent ‘Copy And Paste Coverage’ for a story about a recent Gamers With Jobs podcast in which Bioshock’s Ken Levine discussed the motion control on Factor 5’s PlayStation 3 title Lair.
This is a subject I’ve discussed before - how story linking can go […]

You know, it’s unlike Valve to really hype their games. You may not agree with me when you look at the sales figures and review scores for each of their games, but ask yourself this simple question: Have you ever seen a Half-Life commercial? I, for one, have not. Ever.

It’s that time for a new episode of Mass Effect: Character Spotlight! The last one, which definitively made up my mind to reserve the game, left my jaw dropped. Of course, that was because it was the first time I saw Mass Effect in HD. But I digress. This time around we get spotlights on […]

Maintaining a garden is not my idea of a fun time when it comes to video games. Normally, this is a side task in Animal Crossing or Harvest Moon that I give some lip service to in order to focus on the important tasks at hand: catching bees or trying to bang the milkmaid. Chibi […]

For the record, a “Rumor Buster”… kind of like “Bunker Buster”… we use it to debunk rumors. Moving on…
It is being reported (by HDGameNews) that in the latest issue of the Official Xbox Magazine, Sony has been able to lock up the rights to the next Grand Theft Auto title, which would [allegedly] be the […]

Even if you’ve missed out on Friday Night Fights up to this point, it’s never to late to jump in on the fun. It’s safe to assume that almost every Xbox 360 owner has Halo 3, so there’s really no excuse to not be a part of FNF, unless you’re one of those antisocial types. […]

When it comes to the talented and accomplished pool of game industry folk that we here at Destructoid have coaxed into being our friends, we seem to have an inherent tendency to show them to you (like teh Pokemons, as it were).
