Recently, the CEO of Activision was quoted saying that he sees a possible revenue stream in selling user created songs on Guitar Hero: World Tour to other users. Then people went bat shit crazy. The usual morons started crying, “rape” as they are apt to do and crying about how this is the worst thing […]

For a guy that writes on a gaming site, I don’t get new games that often. The problem is that I’m poor and publishers don’t send me free games (for shame!). The one exception was Rock Band 2. My wife and I have been waiting for Rock Band 2 as a family activity, so it […]

In case you haven’t seen it yet, Activision has released the entire Guitar Hero: World Tour set list so fans can finally drool over all the official goodness. I feel bad that I haven’t heard of some of these songs, I guess it means I’m getting old, but the ones that I do know are […]

It looks like one of my biggest wishes has come true. The major publishers of music based games, Activision, Neversoft, Harmonix, and Konami, have worked out an agreement with Sony that will guarantee that games will be compatible with the musical peripheral for each game maker. That means that owners of Rock Band 2, […]

Normally this is something I’d cover on the toy blog ToyBender.com, but since that site is perpetually down, you get the full on toy coverage here, so if this is too “inside the toy world” for you, then I’m sorry. Anyway, McFarlane Toys recently announced that they are making a series of action figures from […]

This last week was a big one for Guitar Hero Word Tour news. In addtiton to the news that the game will be getting songs from rock legends like Van Halen and the Doors, the guitar controller was finally revealed along with it’s gimick. There’s a slider on it that will give you more freedom […]

The next spin-off of the Guitar Hero franchise has been revealed to be… Guitar Hero: Metallica. The news came about after it was discovered in SEC filings of the game as one of the four Guitar Hero games being released in 2009.
Following in the footsteps of Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, the game will presumably allow you […]

In an effort to keep the buzz going about Guitar Hero World Tour, Neversoft invited some world famous drummers to “test” the prototype drum kit that will be included in the new game. The video has such noted drummers as Travis Barker from Blink 182, Travis Smith from Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Stewart […]
