Game News International got the scoop for video game fans who also love G.I. Joe. An unnamed EA rep has informed them that the G.I. Joe license has gone to EA.
With the upcoming live action movie, a resulting G.I. Joe game was almost a no-brainer. . G.I. Joe fans will also have to pray that the resulting game(s) will not be some quick cash in on the property, but will be a quality game which isn’t what EA is really known for with its licensed games (see: any James Bond game made in the last five years). With EA’s recent acquisitions (i.e. BioWare) and comments about its previous business practices, there is hope that there might be a decent Joe game someday.
