The original Nintendo Entertainment System has spawned everything from tremendous recreations to backpacks and still remains my favorite icon in gaming history. There are very few dedications to the controller that have the retro element and also manage to be classy, but this badge from Supermandolini manages to pull off both and make it look effortless to boot.
What makes this piece even cooler is that it is the first in a limited edition series called Console Wars. Supermandolini describes it as "The first in a series of limited edition pin ‘medals’ that celebrate the memories of endless epic battles, infinite high scores and numerous blistered fingers." I couldn’t have put it better myself.
