News broke that a Seaman spin-off game might possibly make it’s way onto iPhones in the U.S. Personally, I hail any kind of Seaman news as good news, but it’s still not enough. I demand a Seaman sequel, maybe call it something like, “Seaman 2: More Seaman in Your Face” or “Seaman 2: Seaman Unleashed” to appeal to the younger crowd who enjoy things being extreme and unleashed.
The original Seaman was a completely bizarre, yet fun virtual pet game on the Sega Dreamcast where you raised a fish creature with a man face and talked to him via a microphone. It wasn’t perfect, but it was awesome. You got to watch your Seaman evolve over time from a tadpole like creature to a fish thing with legs. You’d talk to it and it would say funny things.
