Today we celebrate Fleet Admiral Firmus Piett, the greatest character in all of Star Wars and my personal hero. As one of the few Imperial officers to escape death long enough to appear in two Star Wars films, he was also the only one to be played by the same actor twice. Know why? He’s bloody legendary, that’s why.
Anybody to be promoted to Admiral in The Empire Strikes Back and survive execution until past the end is an icon in my book. I’m not even a big Star Wars fan, but I have to hand it to my main man Piett. He’s a survivor, and a class act through and through.
Also, we played games this week. You must hit the jump to found out how and why.
