A shift supervisor at a GameStop named “G” has wrote an email to the Consumerist trying to defend the store’s crappy policy and services as a result of all the bashing that GameStop receives online. Though nothing he writes is really eye-opening, he does give some insight on a few known issues people have with the stores as well as some advice. In the end though, I still say take your business elsewhere, however, here are some highlights from his list:
GameStop will open boxes to either try the games themselves and/or for display, this is unavoidable. G’s pretty obvious suggestion is to ask to view the disc before buying, if you see something wrong, an employee is able to discount the title if you still wish to buy.
