Sony has just announced a lovely Satin Silver PS3 for Japan. It looks like the one we’ve been seeing in pictures all this time, ever since the system’s debut. This new one is a 40GB model, priced exactly the same as the other Japanese 40GB models: 39,980 yen (about $375US).
Knowing that this is priced exactly as the other white and black 40GB models, you shouldn’t be surprised to find out that the DualShock 3 isn’t included. No one would buy the other two models if they packed it in, right?
Speaking of the DualShock 3, they also announced a matching color release. Should you want to add one to your Satin Silver rig, you’ll need to budget for another 5,500 yen ($52).
Why do they wait so long to give us the colors?
