The PlayStation 3 is getting its jet black ass kicked right now, of this there is no denial. However, several industry analysts have been saying for months that they expect the PlayStation 3 to pick up steam and eventually challenge the Xbox 360’s dominance, possibly even surpassing it.
Well, Noah Musler at Sega agrees. In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz (I can’t find the link), Musler stated that the combination of the 40GB model, price cuts and a bevy of quality titles on the horizon for the PlayStation 3 will be enough to shift consumer focus towards the PS3. However, Musler does give Microsoft credit where credit is due:
Microsoft has done a good job of closing the gap between the platforms. I don’t think they are in the situation they were in with the PS2 and Xbox 1, but it is still too soon to say,
