Gametap has such a soft spot for the retro gamer. I remember the first time I logged in, I spent the first 20 minutes salivating on my keyboard at the range of classic titles they offered (Infocom has it's own CATEGORY?? ROCK). You never know though — a subscription service has to remain worthwhile, so part of the key was seeing if what I liked the best about it would continue to evolve.
It seems that they are continuing down the path to my heart with the announcement that Sega Saturn titles are coming, beginning with Bug! as an Easter gift to subscribers. I forgot the game existed until I read this news, and then hours of platforming pleasure came flooding back. If you want to find it, be warned that it is labeled as "Insect?" and is hidden somewhere within the service. Egg hunt, indeed.
Best news of all? […]
