As I watch this footage for Soul Calibur Legends, I can’t help but be reminded of the other great fighting series that tried this third-person action/adventure genre, Mortal Kombat. Also, if memory recalls, those turned out somewhere between bland and uninspired (Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero) to downright awful (Mortal Kombat Special Forces). After seeing this new gameplay video (there are three videos, but Ivy is… well, hot beyond comprehension) I am still not sold.
