The above clip is the official Japanese Super Mario Galaxy trailer, and it’s easily the best footage of the game we’ve seen so far. Sure, some of us have played it, but none of them were inundated with the pixie language of the Nipponese during gameplay, and honestly that adds a certain whimsical feel to the proceedings. In fact, in David’s experience, the game was probably covered in the staccato Teutonic language of the Leipzig Games Conference, and I have to imagine that would be the gaming equivalent of eating a Popsicle covered in ants. Ants who just happen to be wearing World War 1 era German infantry helmets and using the crown-mounted spikes to jab at your tonsils, gums and that weird hangy-down thing at the back of your throat.
