What a shocker! Super Smash Bros. Brawl has sold 1.4 million copies in its first week of release with first day sales of 874,000 copies alone. Breaking this down, the game has sold at a rate of 120 units per minute from March ninth to the sixteenth. Brawl has also set the record as becoming the fastest selling videogame in Nintendo of America’s history.
Is anyone really surprised by this at all? Considering all of the releases of late, Brawl seems to be the only game that makes me want to play the Wii again (aside from No More Heroes, of course). In any case, we have a big group of Brawl players here at Dtoid. If you’re looking to play with anyone, hit up this Forum post for a ton of Brawl Friend codes.
