I often wonder if first person shooters weren’t the end all, be all of American gaming if we’d see other types of games more often that don’t get as much love right now. One game type that hasn’t really caught on with consoles is the flying sim. It’s too bad, since this day and age the graphics alone are a good enough reason to take to the skies. I’d love to be able to play more flying games, especially space based ones, but they are few and far between.
Tom Clancy’s Hawx looks like it will help fill the void where more flying games should be. I have faith in both Ubisoft and the Tom Clancy series of games, so I’m hoping that it will be a decent foray into the world of air combat.
