The Resident Evil series is still going strong, as Capcom announced today that another of its Wii titles has shipped over 1 million units worldwide. The game in question? Why it’s none other than Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.
With the help of fairly recent hits such as The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition (the other Capcom Wii game to ship over a million units), the zombie-infested franchise has sold more than 34.5 million units globally since its inception.
With all of this success, do you think we’ll ever see a completely new (not a GameCube port) Resident Evil for Wii that’s built from the ground up to fully utilize the system’s unique capabilities, while at the same time not being a House of the Dead clone?
